At QEF we aim to raise as much awareness as possible of the services we offer. This enables more people to access them and hopefully gain more support for the work we do. Where better to start than children and young adults?
QEF runs a scheme which promotes sharing the work we do with schools and colleges. The purpose is to help children and young people engage with QEF, learn about different disabilities, facilities and support that is available and how they can become involved and help raise funds. For some schools, this may be appointing us as their ‘charity of the year’ or offering to do some local fundraising.
We need confident, enthusiastic volunteers who would be happy to represent QEF, sharing information about the charity in an informative fun way to stimulate their interest.
Full training will be provided along with opportunities to accompany members of our experienced fundraising team. Appointments will be made for the volunteer and they will not be expected to contact schools and colleges themselves.
This opportunity may suit someone who is currently training to be a teacher who would benefit from the chance of interacting with children and running an assembly. It would facilitate access to different settings and exposure to different year groups.
Current clean driving license is essential.
