Aviation Training Assistant
QEF is looking for experienced individuals who have a love of aviation and training and are passionate about facilitating disabled people to fly in safety and with dignity.
If you have a background in aviation and a keen understanding of diversity and training, we would love to hear from you.
QEF is embarking on an innovative programme to introduce a CPD qualification for aviation and healthcare staff assisting disabled customers. This will involve research and developing and converting our current material into a format which will attain an appropriate level for CPD certification. We would like to hear from volunteers who are interested in assisting with this project.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to interpret, structure and formulate training materials are key to this role.
Air travel can present a multitude of challenges for disabled people from transferring from their wheelchair to the aircraft seat, to managing complex medical conditions during the flight. We would like to draw on the expertise of people with knowledge and first-hand experience of these difficulties.
From there, our aim is to roll the programme out to the wider industry, O.T’s, nurses, medical staff, specialist travel organisations, all enabling more disabled people to experience either the joy or necessity of air travel.
There is lots of flexibility in this project and it will require different skill sets as it evolves, so if this sounds interesting and you would like to find out more, please contact us.
