A Driving Assessment is recommended for those who:

• have a medical condition such as stroke, dementia, head injury, epilepsy or other neurological condition;
• have psychological difficulty, physical disability or visual impairment;
• are a provisional licence holder or are seeking a provisional licence

Cost

Please allow 3-4 hours for a standard driving assessment as this is dependant on the individual’s requirements.  For people with more complex requirements, a Hi-Tech assessment may be more appropriate which usually takes about 6 hours.

Self-referring private individuals, can access a subsidised assessment at a fee of £325 for a standard assessment and £470 for a Hi-Tech assessment.   All other enquirers, including all public and private sector organisations, should contact the centre for up-to-date prices
