An assessment is followed by a structured therapy programme that focuses on a person’s identified needs. We provide neuro rehabilitation for adults with physical, cognitive and/or communication disabilities which may also include mild to moderate behavioural problems.
We work closely with families and everyone involved with an individual’s longer term rehabilitation, helping with the transition out of our service back home or on to supported living.
We provide expert therapy and care through distinct client pathways:
Our outpatient services offer onsite therapy sessions for people with neurological disabilities. We have a diverse range of one-to-one support programmes, tailored to help improve cognitive, communication, physical, social and functional abilities.

We work closely with the NHS, personal injury solicitors and case managers as well as local authorities. Placements and outpatients can also be personally funded.
Funding for all residential placements must be secured prior to admission.
We work in partnership with NHS acute and primary care trusts across the South of England. Clients have access to our unique concentration of specialist therapies and nursing care as part of their rehabilitation journey. Working with the Early Supported Discharge, Community and Re-enablement teams as required, we then facilitate their discharge home or to another suitable destination to continue their rehabilitation.
“QEF has exemplified how organisations have stepped up throughout the (pandemic) period, providing care and rehabilitation to patients who’ve suffered strokes or seizures or other brain injuries.”
Professor Stephen Powis, National Medical Director, NHS England“I commend you for paying attention not just to their physical needs in their underlying condition, but the fact that you have been able to keep them safe and secure, and that only comes with the greatest of attention and personal endeavour and thank you very much for it.”
Dr. Yvonne Doyle, Medical Director and Director for Health protection, Public Health England
We work closely with Headway and The Stroke Association in Surrey to support clients with planning for discharge from our service and to ensure they are connected with organisations that can offer advice and support.
The Care and Rehabilitation Centre is a spacious, well equipped building that has been specifically designed and built to meet the needs of QEF’s clients. Rooms are modern and bright with a comfortable homely environment. There are extensive therapy facilities with a large spacious gym and several adaptable therapy rooms. Clients each have their own en-suite bedroom with tracking hoist, some with additional kitchenettes and each room is supported by award winning assistive technology and a nurse call system.

Five connected smart devices have been installed in each bedroom, giving clients greater control over their personal space by adjusting the room temperature, lighting, blinds and TV without additional assistance. The smart devices can be controlled either with standard voice commands, pre-programmed accessible switches or text to talk commands depending on each persons abilities.
Developed with technology solutions provider Imperium Building Solutions Ltd, this innovative use of technology won two international CEDIA awards for Best ‘Multi Dwelling Unit Design’ and the overall award for ‘Life Lived Best at Home’ which reflects the project that gives the best experience for a client.
