Clinical psychology - Led by Dr. Holly Hurn
Our clinical psychologists support individuals, couples and families in coping with the impact of acquired disabilities such as stroke or brain injury. This work can involve individual and/or family psychological therapy sessions, learning strategies to manage cognitive strengths and behavioural difficulties, assessments of cognitive abilities and capacity to make decisions. Physiotherapy - Led by Emma Berkshire
Our physiotherapists aim to improve posture, muscle strength, flexibility, balance and coordination through specific handling techniques and the use of specialist equipment such as tilt tables and standing frames. Programmes may include exercises, stretching, and walking practice.

Speech and Language therapy - Led by Alena Jobson
Our speech and language therapists work with people to help improve their impaired communication, speech and language. They also help individuals who have difficulties with eating and swallowing.

Occupational therapy - Led by Katy Pieters
Our occupational therapists support and treat our clients in managing everyday living tasks, such as personal care, domestic activities and household management, along with life skills such as budgeting and planning. We can also help with wheelchair assessment and community access.

Nursing and rehabilitation care - Led by Muriel Sandy
Our team of specialist nurses and care and rehabilitation support workers provide round-the-clock care medical care and support. We support a wide range of medical needs for people coming straight out of hospital, although there are some exceptions. Please contact us at neurorehab@qef.org.uk to discuss specific requirements. The expert specialist care provided by our nursing and support worker teams provides a solid foundation for the rehabilitation therapy on offer from our team of therapists.

Outpatient Services
Our outpatient therapy services provide expert assessment and treatment for people over 18 with acquired disabilities.
