Navigating the Airport: Helping passengers with physical & hidden disabilities access air travel

On this course we take you on an expert guided tour through a UK airport to increase your knowledge & confidence of the support available to achieve a smooth navigation of this environment. With support from UK airports and airlines join us to:

Being in the Aircraft Cabin; helping passengers with physical & hidden disabilities access air travel

Guided by Cabin Crew expertise and using our ‘Tryb4ufly’ aircraft cabin we explain the practical considerations of being in a fuselage for people with a disability or complex health need. We explore boarding, seating, taxiing & taking off, managing continence, medication & oxygen, landing and exiting the aircraft. Join us as we explain:

  • Aircraft cabin types & how they can impact the journey
  • The seating locations in the cabin for disabled passengers
  • Planning and research to increase your confidence pre-flight
  • Essential cabin safety factors that can influence your client’s flight
  • The use of oxygen, ventilators and medical equipment
