We know how helpful it can be to talk through your journey and see the assistance options used at airports and in the cabin. Each year we exhibit at disability lifestyle shows across the UK where you can discuss your flight and learn practical ways to make your journey more comfortable.

Our Accessible Aviation team are on hand to answer questions you may have about your journey, equipped with aircraft seats and an informative 45-minute talk: ‘Your guide to flying with a disability’.  At some of the larger events we are joined by the local Airport team who can explain and discuss options for assistance local to you.

By request, we organise and deliver airport engagement events that enable a facilitated interaction between the travelling public and the airport team.  These successful events allow positive and structured engagement, enabling people to ask questions about the airport and a route for positive and constructive engagement. Previous engagement partners include London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Belfast.  For more information contact us at www.accessibleaviation@qef.org.uk
