QEF is committed to helping people with disabilities increase their independence and achieve their goals in life. Travel is a key part of this – being able to enjoy accessible breaks in the UK with family or friends or flying to new destinations, whether for pleasure, family reasons or work.
Through our partner charity VASD we we offer several options for accessible breaks with all the family. We have two self-catering holiday homes, one at Elmer Sands near Bognor Regis and a newly refurbished chalet at the Beach Holiday Village in Bracklesham Bay, Wittering. All our accommodation is wheelchair friendly and adapted for the needs of people with disabilities.
You can also enjoy a canal boat holiday on the Grand Union Canal in our specially adapated canal boat, the QEF Jubilee.
Contact our friendly team on 01372 841148 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about any of our accessible holidays.
QEF is working with aviation authorities, airports, airlines, campaigners and other charities to make air travel more accessible for people with disabilities.
If you are thinking about flying with a disability find out more about our unique Tryb4uFly service, where with the support of an occupational therapist you can try out transfer and seating options in a realistic aircraft cabin. We also attend and demonstrate at exhibitions and events across the UK.
If you are an occupational therapist, specialist travel agent or airline looking to improve the service you offer your customers, we have a wide range of training packages that can upskill your staff and give them confidence in this area.
We also offer expert consultancy, working with your business to improve recognition and understanding of the needs of people with reduced mobility and disabilities, so that you can excel in this important market.
