Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is pleased to announce that ground has been broken on an ambitious new development at its site on Woodlands Road, Leatherhead.

This comes soon after contracts were exchanged with Berkeley Homes (Southern) Ltd over the sale of land on the site to be used for housing.

Our annual Ladies Autumn Lunch was held at the stunning venue of Epsom Downs Racecourse on Thursday 27 October with special guest speaker, Michael Buerk.

Michael Buerk is an English journalist and newsreader, whose reporting of the Ethiopian famine on 23 October 1984 inspired the Band Aid charity record and, subsequently, the Live Aid concert. Buerk has been the host of BBC Radio 4's The Moral Maze since 1990.

On Sunday 31 July, we had 25 amazing riders take part in the Prudential RideLondon to raise funds for QEF's work with disabled adults and children. Joining almost 30,000 people in Britain’s biggest ever sportive event, our team smashed it through the 100 miles and we couldn’t be prouder!

During the lead up to the big day, the team have been working tirelessly to raise as much money as they can for QEF and so far have raised over £21,000! An absolutely amazing amount which will make a huge difference to the lives of disabled adults and children.
