An exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Physiotherapist looking to make an impact on the lives of people following acquired brain injury, incomplete spinal injury or stroke.

Leading our experienced physiotherapy team, you will work with our friendly, dynamic multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the wider success of these services.

QEF Care and Rehabilitation Centre is a 48-bed unit that offers neurorehabilitation to clients after a stroke, spinal or other acquired brain injury. Our specialist multi-disciplinary team provides residential therapies to those with physical, cognitive and/or communication disabilities, which may also include mild to moderate behavioural problems.

We have a diverse range of one-to-one support programmes, tailored to help improve social and functional abilities as well as support for that important move home and back to education or work.


  • To work as a lead member of the multi-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation team, contributing to the planning, development, and delivery of an effective and efficient service.
  • To take a lead role in assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of residential clients at CRC.
  • We have a friendly and experienced rehabilitation team including care and support workers, nurses, OT’s, speech and language therapists and clinical psychologists.
  • All staff participate in the key therapist/worker program for clients.
  • Your personal development will be supported with supervision, reflective practice, in-house training and CPD opportunities.
  • This role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks which will include an Enhanced with adults barred list check DBS (at the cost of QEF if you are not already a member of The Update Service).

  • You hold a degree or diploma in Physiotherapy and up to date HCPC registration
  • You are a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and work within the scope of your professional guidelines
  • You have post graduate experience and knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions in the treatment and management of clients requiring physical and neuro rehabilitation
  • You have experience in managing physiotherapy staff and working within an multi-disciplinary team
  • You have relevant experience in physical management of people following a neurological event
  • You have evidence of relevant post graduate courses, CPD and an up-to-date professional portfolio
