Based in Epsom, MERU is a Charity that strives to improve the lives of children and young people with disabilities.

By designing and manufacturing custom made specialist equipment to help with communication, mobility, learning and enjoyment, MERU is often the last port of call when no other readymade solution exists.

MERU  is looking for an enthusiastic, confident person who believes passionately in helping disabled children have as much fun and independence as possible.

Ideally you will be local with connections and knowledge of the local area as this role will involve contacting local schools, shops, churches, sports and community clubs to share the fantastic work that MERU does and encouraging them to get involved.

This could be by adopting MERU as their chosen charity for the year, holding a cake sale or arranging an assembly to demonstrate a range of adapted toys and Bugzi, our innovative high-powered wheelchair for children under 5.

The volunteer role will be based in Epsom and will be supported by our Community Executive in Leatherhead as well as the team in Epsom.  Our induction will provide you with all the information you need to know about MERU and our products, however experience in a sales or fundraising role would be advantageous.  This role will involve visiting potential supporters so local travel will be required.  Agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.

If you think it sounds appealing and would like to share your expertise or build on your experience in community fundraising, this could be the role for you.  It may also suit 2 people with similar interests who would like to volunteer together.
