Neuro Rehabilitation Services

QEF is a leader in acquired brain injury rehabilitation with particular expertise in supporting younger adults. We specialise in combining therapy with vocational programmes.

Recreation & Leisure

A positive experience

Alongside our specialist therapies (physiotherapy, psychology, speech & language and occupational) we offer educational and vocational support as well as providing for recreational and leisure needs.

Recreation and Leisure

We offer a broad range of activities to complement the therapeutic experience of clients, to rebuild confidence, encourage exploration of new interests and to develop their ability to pursue new interests when they leave us.

Daily activities can include gym, swimming, trampolining and gardening as well as organising weekend and evening activities, outings and adventure holidays. Facilities on site include a state of the art radio station and music room.

Throughout the year we organise creative events, such as our annual pantomime, talent show and multi-cultural day, which not only encompass many aspects of our clients’ rehabilitation needs but motivate and inspire as well as being great fun.

Art, Design & Technology

Here creativity is explored and encouraged whilst developing and reinforcing all the skills learnt in other therapy sessions. In our practical but relaxed environment clients can learn aspects of design, manufacture and finishing in a range of mediums such as painting, pottery, woodwork, sculpture, textiles and digital photography. We also offer horticultural sessions and with some clients have recently built a Sensory Garden in the grounds of the Brain Injury Centre.
