Vocational Services

QEF specialises in developing people’s abilities to achieve sustainable employment. We focus on tailoring individual skills to meet employers’ needs.

Disability Employment Training

Disability employment training for disabled people is provided by QEF. Many of our trainess have not worked for some time and many have found themselves unemployed or compromised at work by an accident or illness.

Most trainees who come here for disability employment training have more than one disability, may not have worked for some years, and have been forced to change direction by an accident or illness. Many are understandably nervous and lack the confidence to rejoin the world of employment, especially in a new career. Providing residential disability employment training for disabled people has been at the heart of our activities for 75 years and we have continued to develop our techniques and expertise to ensure our trainees get the very best from us.

In providing residential employment training for disabled people, a combination of the support provided by the College, and the commitment of the trainees, leads many to gain permanent sustainable employment. This, together with a greater level of self-confidence and higher self-esteem, enables them to rebuild their lives.
