Ladies Spring Lunch a Sell-out Success

The Ladies Spring Lunch on 6 April was a complete sell out.

Guest speaker Mary Berry was a real hit, with signed copies of her book going like the proverbial hot cakes and an audience eager for her exemplary baking tips.

With more stalls than ever, shopping was a real delight.

Bikeathon 2011 Announced

We are delighted to announce that this years Leatherhead Bikeathon will be taking place on Sunday 18th September 2011.

Update

All riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

All riders must wear helmets or will not be able to ride on the day.

Challenge yourself by cycling one of our 3 routes (13, 26 or 45 miles) through the Surrey Downs and help make a massive difference to the lives of the exceptional individuals QEF supports while enjoying some of the countryside chosen for the 2012 Olympic cycling routes.

Registration costs £10 for Adults, £5 for Children/Students and there is a minimum sponsorship requirement of £20. Medals presented to those that finish.

Thanks to all of last years sponsored riders we were able to raise the money necessary to purchase an adapted Renault Trafic transport for QEF Neuro Rehabilitation Services in Banstead. The transport allows our clients easy access to community and leisure activities, helping them re-learn the skills necessary to gain their independence and take more of a role within their community.

For the second year running Fine Fettle Multi Healthcare will be giving post-ride massages to our riders to ease any aching muscles and to provide some hard earned relaxation. Based in Bookham, Fine Fettle are a specialist group of multi-disciplined therapists.

Tartan Ball at Woodlands Park Hotel a great success

On 21^st January, to celebrate Burns Night, Woodlands Park Hotel hosted their renowned annual charity Tartan Ball.

More than 100 guests enjoyed a Champagne reception, four-course dinner, charity raffle and auction, followed by live music and dancing. A wonderful, fun night was had by all.

All proceeds raised were kindly donated to QEF.
