Working with QEF

Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People has been challenging disability for 80 years.  QEF is a disability charity specialising in independent living, mobility and neurorehabilitation.

We offer a wide range of roles that are based at a number of locations in Surrey.

The people who work for us are one of our greatest assets.  Our services to disabled clients could not be provided without our staff.  The successful recruitment and retention of staff is vital to the continuing success of QEF.

Our services are diverse and so are our clients.  Although we may all look different, QEF people have one thing in common – a passion for what we do. We want to recruit the best and the brightest: people who thrive on collaborating through team work and the discovery of new opportunities.  QEF people are able to agree their own goals within a strategic framework and all our employees are provided with support and development in order to achieve these goals.

We provide staff with a wide range of employment benefits, including up to 33 days’ annual leave (pro-rata for part-time staff), a contributory pension, life assurance, a healthcare plan, shopping discounts, childcare vouchers and free staff parking at our semi-rural locations.

We employ around 250 staff across QEF and we all enjoy the benefits of the assistance of over 500 volunteers who provide invaluable support.

We have just completed our staff survey in which 92% of our staff say they enjoy their work and 85% say they are proud to work for QEF.

You can see a list of current vacancies and can download an application form, together with guidance notes for completion, from the left-hand menu.  Each vacancy includes details for returning your application.

We will write, telephone or email successful applicants with invitations to interviews.  If you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, please feel free to contact the relevant service to see how your application is progressing.

There are exciting and challenging times ahead at QEF as we work with disabled people to develop skills and develop independence.  QEF services support our clients in achieving goals for life.

If there are no current vacancies which are of interest to you, you may like to volunteer for any of our services or shops.  If there are no specific volunteer opportunities identified in the left-hand menu, please click on our Get Involved box for further information.

There are many things you can do to help QEF provide our services for disabled people – we look forward to you joining us.
